This new role reporting to the Senior Director of Real Estate is responsible for managing and overseeing the Lease Administration team. Develop a culture of cost savings/cost containment within the department. Provide ongoing guidance, leadership and direction to the Lease Administration team, ensuring company expectations and objectives are clearly communicated and carried out. Monitor employee performance and provide routine feedback and training to ensure continual development, conduct performance appraisals for direct reports in accordance with company guidelines. Develop and implement department procedures as they relate to lease administration.
What you will do:
- Develop a culture of cost savings/cost containment via stringent occupancy costs reviews and audits
- Prepare rent/occupancy cost budgets by store.
- Review prepaid schedules and make adjustments to accruals/year-end provisions where necessary.
- Develop and/or implement department procedures as they relate to Lease Administration.
- Ensure effective delivery of support to stores/subtenants regarding landlord/tenant issues.
- Review maintenance and repairs responsibilities in accordance with the lease agreements and coordinate with landlords, subtenants, and internal teams to resolve
- Oversee maintenance of and ensure the accuracy of lease data base; provide various reports as required; provide information to RET, Real Estate, Finance and others as required.
- Intervene on behalf of stores/landlords regarding various operations issues.

How you will succeed:
- University degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in commercial lease administration environment.
- Strong organizational, time management and priority setting skills.
- Strong leadership skills, with relevant experience in leading a small group/team.
- Ability to interpret and negotiate lease documents.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and Landlords’ commercial tenancy billing methods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills-both written and verbal.
- Ability to foster a cooperative business environment.
- Able to adapt quickly and effectively to business changes.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
