Reporting to the Manager of Store Technology, the skilled and experienced IT Systems Analyst will focus on Pharmacy Retail Systems and IT infrastructure. The role involves developing, documenting, and deploying new IT solutions to improve pharmacy retail operations. This requires expertise in pharmacy retail systems, IT infrastructure, and the ability to bridge technology and business needs.

 

Principal Responsibilities:  

  • Solution Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and develop innovative IT solutions that address the specific needs of our pharmacy retail systems.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all IT solutions, including system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Deployment: Oversee the smooth transition of new IT solutions into production, including testing and user training.
  • Infrastructure Management: Monitor and manage the technology infrastructure supporting pharmacy retail, focusing on performance and security.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to find ways to improve pharmacy operations.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors to choose and implement software and hardware solutions.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Research solutions to investigate complex system issues.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements to enhance system performance.
  • Evaluate new technologies: Assess technologies that can be leveraged across the Enterprise Retail environment and identify the benefits case for using new technologies.
  • Perform Other Duties: As assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • College or University degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of IT Systems Analyst experience, with a focus on pharmacy retail systems and infrastructure.
  • Automate tasks and streamline processes using Power Automate, PowerShell, and other scripting languages.
  • Experience knowledge of System Center Operations Manager and System Center Configuration Manager and Adaptiva peer-to-peer automation technology.
  • Familiarity with hardware components, network architecture, and cloud computing.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with various modern operating systems (current versions of: Windows Server, Windows Desktop, IOS, Android)
  • Excellent Knowledge of creating and deployment of Operating Systems 
  • Result-oriented and demonstrate a “can-do” attitude – adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to provide recommendations with regards to future business and solution opportunities
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to provide after-hours support for new solutions during implementation.
  • Strong research skills and awareness of data privacy practices.
