What you will be doing:

• Coordinate all requisite information gathering from prospective sellers, including financial and operational material to conduct a preliminary assessment of fit into Rexall’s network.
• Prepare detailed proforma modeling based on in-depth analysis of vendor financial statements and gain a thorough understanding of their operations while collaborating with internal teams, providing recommendations and strategies to determine how it can be adapted to the Rexall operating model.
• Partner with the various business functions: Store Operations, Real Estate, Market Development, Business Development, Pharmacy Operations, Finance, and External Agents, to seek and assess opportunities.
• Participate in due diligence reviews and incorporate new information into proforma. This will entail detailed auditing of financial information with bank statements, tax returns, etc
• Upon a successful purchase, assist the integration team with onboarding, sharing deal information, and staying close to help ensure the transition is as seamless as possible.
• Provide post-acquisition support such as details and insights of results against pro-forma assumptions, provide guidance to course correct where possible, and apply learnings to future deals.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations as required to appropriate business units.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC

How will you succeed:

• University degree in Business or relevant discipline, with a CPA designation or working towards it or an MBA.
• 3-5 years’ experience developed in a financial analytical capacity in a retail or real estate environment.
• Exceptional financial analytical ability and statistical analysis skills preferably developed in a retail environment.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word. JDE experience an asset.
• Proactive and self-driven with a high degree of discipline to manage multiple overlapping projects and deadlines.
• Ability to execute all projects efficiently with a high sense of urgency
• Excellent organization and time management skills with strong attention to detail
• Able to interpret and present results in an engaging, meaningful way.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Understanding of pharmacy systems would be considered an asset.
