Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Specialist, CRM & Direct Marketing will be responsible for the successful execution of direct-to-customer communications across the Rexall and Be Well ecosystem. The incumbent will work closely with the Manager, Digital Marketing to plan and execute Rexall and Be Well direct-to-customer marketing campaigns. The Specialist will leverage customer data to create custom audiences and execute full direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns that support Rexall and Be Well. They will develop data-driven customer journeys using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to automate and optimize member communications across digital channels.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of Rexall and Be Well’s instance of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud (Salesforce CDP)
- Contact Management, Audience Segmentation, CASL Compliance, Profile Centre, Profile Extension Tables etc.
- Manage the execution of direct-to-customer marketing communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud on behalf of Rexall and Be Well, including across the digital ecosystem
- Email, SMS/Text, push notifications, digital ad audiences, website, and mobile app.
- Support the end-to-end direct-to-customer marketing execution for Rexall, Be Well and vendor partners (e.g., planning, content setup in Salesforce, audience segmentation, testing, execution and reporting.)
- Create and manage direct-to-customer marketing workflows, including Lifecycle initiatives, full funnel and multi-touch campaigns.
- Develop customer segmentation and targeting strategies to increase the relevance of Be Well and Rexall communications and drive engagement.
- Develop customer journeys using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to automate and optimize Rexall and Be Well’s marketing and member engagement.
- Deliver regular updates to the team, stakeholders and senior management with respect to campaign performance and progress towards achieving annual KPI targets.
- Establish and share best practices, including industry insights (e.g., send times, audience targeting, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- 3+ years’ experience executing direct-to-customer communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platform.
- Strong marketing background in retail or loyalty is considered an asset.
- Experience with audience segmentation through Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platform.
- Experience building and testing emails with tools such as Litmus; knowledge of coding HTML and CSS for emails; knowledge of SQL coding.
- Superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Highly organized, detail oriented with strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills from reporting to actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences and creating presentations to secure buy-in.
- University Degree or college diploma.

Responsible for ensuring the accurate delivery of corporate development activities and understanding corporate objectives and company standards is key to achieving desired results.
Internal Communications:
Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders across a broad range of organizational levels including IT, marketing, finance, operations from the specialist to VP level.
External Communications:
Coordinate timelines and updates with 3rd party agencies and vendor partners.
